Forbidden Poem by Emma Woods

Today you look stunning
Your hair is a glittering gold
Your eyes are an ocean blue
Yet your heart remains so cold
But do you know
I see your soul
I see what's inside
With you I'm whole
Just the turn of your head
To look my way
It would stop my heart
But I'd never say
I could never tell you
I could never think
We'd have a chance together
For your heart would steal
It would take away my life
It would break me once again
It's you I think of at night
But I couldn't stand the pain
To make my heart stop loving
Is something I can not do
My life would have too much worry
I care and worry for you
Just to hold you close to me
Just to hear you softly speak
You don't know how it feels to think
That we could never one day be
