The calm sea embraces you
With its skin like silk
That exudes warmth
As the loving embrace
Of a great friend.
But when the wind
Kisses the sea ferociously
It turns into a beast
It embraces you like cobra
Suffocates you to death.

Lovely poem. Presents to two divergent faces of the sea most aesthetically. The metaphors are fantastic and colourful. Loved it. Top score
Loved this poem, my dearest friend Rose. Remain blessed.......100
Wonder, how i missed this marvellous poem. A loving embrace of a good friend is so rejuvenating.
Reading this amazing poem reminds me of Jack Kerouac. He would have loved it. And would have desribed it as perfectly, and eloquently, as you. I know because of having read his 1st book, titled THE SEA IS MY BROTHER. Excellent poem!
Sea as a blessings and sea as a punishment, in both ways it fascinates. Nice poem.5*****
The warmth and death the sea can offer are beyond anything blissful but for the suffocation and for the resultant death. The sea is like that, the sea of everything is like that, sea of joy or the sea of suffering. What a deep thought. To my poem list
