Foreigner Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Foreigner

Why, you have got me hooked with just one look;
I saw the universe in your pure eyes:
How sad—but sweet—afraid of due goodbyes,
Of common feelings you've for love mistook!
My love, I read you like an open book:
I do hate too how time but quickly flies,
And so, we should let go of our disguise,
Forsake whom we have loved yet us forsook.
Hold me and press your lips on mine the more,
Perhaps a kiss'd—I hope—make you forget
The hurt and heartbreak that you've just been through!
In love, trust me, there's many a season yet:
Ones which shall shine but brighter than before,
And soothe and ignite fires inside of you!
