Forgive Him Poem by Richard Ikolo

Forgive Him

He comes home drunk
Forgive him
He eats only junk
Correct him

He usually comes home late at night
Bear with him
I always cry out in fright
Forgive him

He never accepts his fault
Intercede for him
He's relocated to a vault
Intercede for him

I caught him red-handed with a woman
Forgive him
I regretted having him as my man
Accept him

He's insensitive to my pains and plight
Tolerate him
Not a day passes without a fight
Bear with him

He's neither compassionate nor caring
Forgive him
He's selfish and unforgiving
Forgive him

He's so proud and arrogant
Accept him
He's brutal and belligerent
Accept him

He's insincere and deceptive
Intercede for him
He's neither receptive nor sexually active
Intercede for him

He's always 'right'
Accommodate him
He's lost his spiritual sight
Pray for him

He never has my interest at heart
Forgive him
He's totally failed on his part
Forgive him

I can't stand his anger
Bear with him
I can't cope with him any longer
Bear with him.
