Forgive Me Poem by Krystle Gallegos

Forgive Me

He sits in the corner of the bullpen and watches from afar.
The paid he hides inside drives him to the bar.
I hurt him really badly but I want to make things right.
Would he give me the chance to kiss him tonight?
Just one before he leaves, just one to settle my soul.
Things with Tony are so bad I can't take it anymore.
I'll erase him from memory,
Forget all that he has done.
I guess I was wrong, he wasn't 'the one'.
Those beautiful blue eyes light up my life.
They calm my spirits and lead me away from the knife.
I sacrificed Jon but it wasn't worth the pain.
Jon brought the the sun,
Tony disguises it with rain.
I'm not going to be stupid,
not ignorant anymore.
I'm going to rid myself of Anthony,
Gonna show him to the door.
Please, Jon, forgive me.
It seems you're the one who cares.
Don't leave without goodbye,
Don't leave me standing there.
