Forgive Me- For I Have Sinned Poem by David Nieketien

Forgive Me- For I Have Sinned

Minutes after I smiled at her,
Guilt starts to creep in;
'Father forgive me please',
I said falling on my knees
For I know what I did is a sin
Forgive me and withhold your anger, Sir.

'Twas a thing of great shame.
Imagine suffering God's wrath
At this my tender age.
Was in JSS3 at that stage;
Studious and firm in education's path,
Then, that's when she -destruction- came.

Remi Badmus was her name,
A new student -pretty and smart
And physically she was up to gauge.
I loved even from the first gaze, but 'twas backstage.
I know all my effort to fear will thwart,
So, to school I remained the same.

On that day, I was meat to her.
Through our class door, she walked in.
As she approached, I lost inner peace.
And as she passed, to feel at ease,
I looked at her behind and was about to grin
Then she turned and saw me, and I smiled at her.

And that's it my lovely readers
Sorry to disappoint it's not something too bad
I know you thought 'twas a thing more sinister
Lolz! You can smile now or even simper
'Cos I was just 11, I couldn't be that bad
Smiles, so be good my lovely readers.
