Forgive My Reluctance Poem by Amy Fifita

Forgive My Reluctance

Forgive my reluctance to your love,
But love always hurts me.
It sets right in,
And then is ripped out.
Forgive me when I say:
Don't tell me lies,
'Cause to me love is nothing but lies.
The ones that love me are the ones
who have made a difference.
The ones who my me feel warm,
The ones who make me feel safe.
So please forgive me when I say
That you don't care,
That you're just trying to scam me.
