Forgiven Poem by Rehan Hyder

Forgiven

Thirty years of sadness
Simmered in my eyes
Thaw of stagnant resentment
Melted into sublime submission

I finally stuffed my backpack with prosperity
and sent myself to zoo

[Aged 5, my Mom forgot to give me money for picnic; it took a while to come out of zoo 30 years to be exact]
