Forgotten Machines Poem by Samantha Bush

Forgotten Machines

Destruction came swift on wings of bullets.
Hailing down upon the robotic nation.
No feeling of loss or mourning.
Heartless machines giving false tears.
Dead eyes that once shone red.
Yet coming forth from the ruble.
Whispers of screams come from a human girl.
Now a robot of hollow hearts.
As the eyes of her love dim red.
Then fades into the mass of forgotten.
