Forgotten Stone Poem by Diana van den Berg

Forgotten Stone

The night closes,
slow and distant,
icy on this hot night
for that
is
how
it
is

and
silence
paralyses
what
is
no
more

and
dawn
lies
strangled
where
she once
did sing.
