The sun floats above the horizon
A new day is at hand
The earth appears to eager eyes
Like a paradise awaiting discovery.

Youthful hearts pound with joy
At the vistas that they see
And they march courageously
Forward, boldly forward.
“Together we go-together
Into tomorrow
Into tomorrow’s tomorrows”.

Memories of today
Lie forgotten in village taverns
Passed along the way to tomorrow
“And we all are together”

In the fading light of day,
In shifting silhouettes
The soul searches for its own comfort alone
In the quiet places of the heart and mind,
Words whisper to the solitary heart,
To the awakening spirit
“Watch the fleeing flight
Of your cherished dreams”

The sun slips below the horizon
Day is drawing to a close
The earth appears as a cold dark land
That waits for one
To make the journey alone…
Forward, boldly forward
Into tomorrow
