Found Once Lost Twice Poem by Anand Keshri

Found Once Lost Twice

Rating: 5.0

In a chilled evening, with my cold heart
I came across those gleaming eyes
The transient joy rekindled my spirits
When i caught hold of the munificent surprise

Her adorable face, her placatory smile
Reminded me of old times of-course
There wasn't much that i could do
With a grieving heart full of repose

Her furling curls, her rosy lips
Unforgettable were her innocent mischiefs
Still i crave for that treasured love
Which once lost is too hard to retrieve

Desperate love took me nearer to her
To have a glimpse of her bonded hand
Somebody had dethroned me from her heart
She let me go like the slipping sand

I stole out with a shattered heart
Knowing life would never again be nice
The game of love was a lost battle
I found her once but lost her twice
