Four Directions Poem by Susan Oxford

Four Directions

We live in four directions you and I,
We face them each as the years go by.
Sometimes they are clear, sometimes a blur,
We will face them together, this is sure.

South is the difficulties we've been through,
They've strengthened the love between me and you.
Past dark days have fallen behind,
Allowing us renewed love to find.

East is the hope we feel each day,
With our love and trust to light the way.
A cloud may occasionally block our sun,
But we weather the storm and emerge as one.

North is our dreams yet to be,
Always striving together you and me.
We talk, wonder, revise and plan,
Knowing these dreams are close at hand.

West is our vision of what will be,
Love and life together our destiny.
We look ahead to our forever,
Traveling the road of life together.
