Freedom Poem by Elena Tsonkova

Freedom

Rating: 4.5

Flattened as a patch-work
On the concrete road,
Merciless humans passing by-
Dumb,
Showing neither remorse, nor regret,
Not even indifference, cause even indifference
Is still something to be shown
And felt…

Showing nothing but emptiness-
Invisible, unreachable, untouchable,
Detached...

And the only sign of life around are
A few greyish-white
Feathers, free to follow the wind
Wherever it wishes to wonder.

Indifference, so prevalent in the 21st century, technically so advanced! Nothing worse than not caring about anything or anybody. I love the ending, the birds, embodiment of freedom still embody some hope of freedom. Lovely 10/10. Welcome to poem hunter, like your work, please continue!
