Freedom Of Souls Poem by Allyson Gordon

Freedom Of Souls

Please forgive me for the sorrow,
For leaving you in fear
Still I’ll be the one to guide you
Through this labyrinth called life
Disguised by my ghostly form
You won’t realize it’s me

I’ll take your hand
And guide you into the night
Where you can release your fears
So you won’t have to hide
Behind the safety of the shadows
That shield you from the world

In the darkness, my soul is free
Hopefully never to return
If i’m lucky I’ll die tonight
Leave all memories behind
All that will remain
Is my cold lifeless body
