Frenemy, Time. Poem by Rebecca Ellis

Frenemy, Time.

Time is a master of disguise
It is so many things
It can tell a story
Or play a game
Give life
Or take it away
Watch you age
Yet let you live
Give you knowledge
And watch you take it to the grave
It can make you cowardly
Or make you brave
It allows for chances
And makes room for mistakes
It leaves scars
But heals all wounds
Covers lies
Uncovers truths
It lets opportunity knock
Or the opportunity to fail
Help you remember the forgotten
Or forget the remembered
It can make you bitter
Or fill your life with joy
And with its absence
It makes the heart fonder
But the funny thing about time is
… there’s never enough
Yet all we have in this world IS time
We live to die
And all that’s in between is time

Tempus fugit but I would love to spent my time reading this again and again.Loved each sentence.Brilliantly fabricated and thought provoking. I would be honoured if you could comment on any of my works.
