There’s a farm in Hoxie, Kansas
Built for a fresh country life
A family lived there and prospered
A man with his kids and his wife
Raised their children the best they could
The perfect place for kids to grow
They were raised around animals
And learned to love them so
For country life for children is
A place for chores and such
They were taught responsibility
Raised with a soft warm country touch
Chopped the wood and slopped the pigs
And fed the chickens their corn
Cared for those adorable animals
From the time that they were born
Yes, Hoxie, Kansas is certainly a town
For children to grow up stable
Like the Walden’s family they always
Said prayers at the supper table!
