Friends I Befriended. Poem by SY Wong ...

Friends I Befriended.

Hush my friend
Tiredness is upon you I see
I presume you have no friend
That's why you never let me go
The moment you found me to treasure like gold
I know
This is a lonely place
You need friends
Now the time has come for you to sleep
Sleep well friend, you are tired I presume
Soon, you'll find that golden rainbow everyone is talking about
Over there I was told, the light will not dim
Yes day and night
Nights may be dimmer
But there's light
No, not moonlight
Will ever hurt your soft eyes
No
For quite sometime Emma is there
and friends I know
Sleep my friend
May peace be upon you

I hope we'll meet again, someday
This time, but without tears.
