At one point in time,
every friendship starts good.
There's the laugh, the smile
and the playing a fool.
but soon enough
the blindness is removed,
as we begin to see clearly
things we should.
then the essence of the name 'friend'
comes to play.
for there lies the real test
-will it survive another day?
For dark secrets we hold
-the same we tend to keep.
But friendship is not sincerity,
it's just...just you and me.

I would like to translate this poem
Heat forges steel and shatters glass. If friendship is made of malleable stuff like steel, heat will make it stronger ie it can go into another shape without being destroyed. If on the other hand the friendship is made of brittle stuff like glass, it shatters on application of heat. A friend in need is a friend indeed. A good friend is almost the equal of a good and happy family. I like the articulation of the poem. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
