Friendship, I Agree Poem by Felix Emeka George

Friendship, I Agree

Rating: 5.0

An old adage once told
That to fall on someone you barely know
Leaves one feeling awkward,
But in the hands of old friends
It is better and safer?
Of hands already known
and learned to trust?
As Old friends are gold,
So New friends are ore
Time and space purifies ore
Then we know
whether they be gold or chaff
Am I right?
I think I am so right.

Time and space purifies ore Then we know whether they be gold or chaff- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -beautifully expressed truth.... and it is the truth that reason and life experience gives us...... but thee still is something new and uplifting and joyous about making a new friend and they seem to be such good-at-heart-and-soul people that it is difficult to keep the cool eye of wisdom on them.... I like your write here- -it gives the reader much to ponder. 10
