My dear friend Anne Thorpe
always kept me up
with her beautiful writing
and always igniting the passion

That is how we developed
and eloped
with the poetry
not knowing what transpired already

I, being, the novice poet
couldn't keep quiet
and went on oblige in her talent
and presented a new version

Yes, that is how it worked
and I too sent a beautifully worded
response to the already composed poem
we worked as a perfect team

I am proud of her
and always appreciated
even though she had a high class of observation
I could hardly match her elevation
