Frolicking Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Frolicking

Rating: 3.5

Frolicking

They frolicked and ran.
They played catch me if you can.
They etched drawings in the sand.
They threw sand from their hand.

I looked at them at play.
I wondered about the day.
Would it let me have some time,
Also for me to play?

You see the children laughing.
The children screaming.
The children climbing,
And colluding.

I would like a day,
To play and play,
And scream ha, ha, ha,
And throw sand and away.
