From Above Poem by Timothy McPoetry

From Above

You have the best seat in the house
All the gifts
The smash cake
The loved ones pouring through the front door

With all the joy you bring
I could never cut your string

Latex, mylar, hot air
He gives you license to float
Your innards make my voice acclaim you even higher
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CONGRATULATIONS, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
sorry for your loss...

What is your preferred anchor?
Chair, potted plant, mailbox?
What is your preferred event?
Patriotic, celebratory, mournful?

Oh that's right,
You can not speak
What wonders your insight may reveal
We will never know

*SNIP*
Now fly, fly away to an unknown destiny! ! !

Wow this is amazing I personally made two poems on called paint and another called sugar. This poem is amazing and I have always wondered what happens to balloons when they fly away and balloons are the best for funerals. Thank you so much and you should come down to UMSL for my poetry slam. Thank you

I agree with Rachelle, I would love to sing this poem from the rooftops, from the mountains, so all may hear this true masterpiece.

Brings tears to my eyes and a cheerful noise from my throat.
