Holy Jumpin' Poem by Timothy McPoetry

Holy Jumpin'

Rating: 5.0

One day we went fishing
Cool breezes, warm waters
The sun high on the watery banks
Fish ripe for the pickin'

'Baroom, Baroom! ' Went the 150HP Merc
Disturbing the peace below
The silent foreign enemy awoken
Its slumber disturbed

'SPLASH! ' The foe leapt into attack mode
'THUD! ' The fiberglass bastion defended me deftly

The battle was won
The enemy thwarted
Magicarp his name
Beware the Asian Carp, fellow anglers

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
One day, me and my cousin Jeffery were fishing at McGregor's pond. We had the outboard roaring and got the Asian Carp all riled up! Truly a trip to remember... God Bless America!
