From The War Fever Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

From the war fever
Monday,6th August 2018

I refuse to be cowed down
with their known stand
"the poverty shall have to be removed"
they say it in open but so far not proved

"world peace has to be achieved"
the world never believed their words
they were hollow and deceptive
nothing firm or indicative

"No atomic weapons on this beautiful earth "
alright, but has it reduced the human deaths,
on the contrary, the peace chanced have been receded
only human misery and woes have been added

You said no border barriers
only free movement with the peacekeepers
they were in disguise as intruders
where have gone the promises of natural borders?

I am not the one to take them seriously
I have written against continuously
I don't whether my pen was bold
or the idea was merely sold

Yes the golden pen may flow golden words
to come forward and look onward
it may certainly change the tide in favor
the world may have the respite from war fever
