Full Bloom Poem by Weldon Davis

Full Bloom

Like a broken flower
Shed'n leaves in the fall
I've saw it all
Maybe

As petals show harshly upon
An asphalt surface
Meaning nothing
Running over the small purpose of
Observe'n the beauty of life

I fought what was right
So long wrong
Growing tightly against the pressure
Of gravity
Still coming up through the seasons
Forgetting reasons of triumph
Looking at the loss
As I wilt away
Not see'n the full bloom
Of today
