Full Circle Poem by David Wood

Full Circle

Rating: 5.0

Darkness runs through winter,
When the chill wind blows
And twigs snap as a splinter
In the ice before it snows.

Winters cape lifts in spring
As shafts of light peek through
Nature wakens in shoots and buds
When snowdrops stand tall and true.

Summer brings butterfly's and bees
Warm winds kiss all they caress
And rustle leaves on ancient trees
With nature's bounty in excess.

Autumn's rich harvest of crops
Cut under a harvest moon
Where farmers pull out all the stops
And barns brim full all too soon.

A new Winter casts its icy cape
As yet another year has passed
And the landscape takes a different shape
When ice and snow is again forecast.
