Future Of Joy Poem by Je'free Y .

Future Of Joy

Rating: 3.0

On that significant, inevitable day,
I will give you a ride from the terminal,
From the gateway you have specified.
A placard will be displayed to ensure
You come with me, not with some stranger.
My sedan will be sizeable enough
To lodge you and your suitcases.
Worry not if we can sleep in one room.
The bedroom will make space for us,
As the closet will keep half of itself vacant
For storage of your possessions.

On that particular turning point,
My speculations on why it took you eras
To arrive here will all come to extinction.
Tears on yesterday's pillow will tumble dry.
I will not hold my ancestors responsible
Anymore for not inheriting you.
All there is to exult for is that you have visited
To be nurtured for my descendants.

On that very hour of redemption,
I will learn that I never found you
In my clasped hands, my egotistic heart,
Nor my spirit drowned in pride.
I will have welcomed you
When I started to care, to share,
To love just a little bit more.
