Future Past Present Poem by Christopher Hayflinger

Future Past Present

My heart rest weary at the stoop of my future
Laid to rest are the antagonistic crimes of my past
As i walk through the door of my worlds yet to be
I am daunted by the deafening sound of silence
A cold lonely echo of nothingness
It is in this moment that i realize
No great beyond exists past the present
Our footsteps may forever mark our travels
Yet it is and will forever be
Only in our past we can see
The future is held by no man only striven for
May we always
Reach higher
Run further
Love deeper
For it is in the tomorrow
We shall find the culmination of our history
Let be us not slaves to the once was
Nor dwell forever in its darkness
Let us travel with a light step
Into the brilliance that is our future
Fore it is there that all things are possible
