Genesis: Adam And Eve Poem by Dr John Celes

Genesis: Adam And Eve

God created everything well;
He made Adam who seemed lonely;
So, He put him to sleep one day,
And fashioned Eve, out of his rib.

Thus, Eve became his companion;
She was of his flesh, bone and blood;
Thus, both were equal in God's eyes;
And so, Adam named her ‘woman'.

Thus, Eve was made from Adam's rib;
She was to give him company;
She was not made from other parts;
She wasn't to rule or be a slave!

Oh, what a lovely way both came!
Man, woman were in God's image;
Both had a unique role on earth;
But Adam was not her Master!

God's perfect wisdom made humans;
In eyes of God, both were equal;
Their functions were bit different;
But they were made as per God's plan!
