Get Rid Of The Rust Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Get Rid Of The Rust

You ought to get up in the morning,
With it dawning that a new you is due.
And changing attitude.

You ought to get up in the morning,
With it dawning that a new you is due.
And pursuing it through.

Get all that dust out of the corners,
With a cleaning of that...
Long overdue.
And you know it's true too.

Then decide to get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And sweep away those yesterdays,
To leave them staying there forever.

You ought to get up in the morning,
With it dawning that a new you is due.
And changing attitude.

Get all that dust out of the corners,
With a cleaning of that...
Long overdue.
And you know it's true too.

Then decide...
To get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And,
Sweep away those yesterdays to leave them there forever.
Then decide...
To get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And,
Sweep away those yesterdays to leave them there forever.
Then decide...
To get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And,
Sweep away those yesterdays to leave them there forever.
Like the doing of bad weather.
