Gettin' Some Bread Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Gettin' Some Bread

I know you're wanting me on your team
No parental advisory, imma keep it clean
All them jokers want an ace on the scene
Ain't no cards in the deck stacked like me
You ain't poppin, if you ain't making G's
Imma hustle like i'm selling dope on the streets
My only dream is to have my heart appeased
Where i'm boarding flights living life lavishly
You know I got that steam
and I'm riding fresh, so clean
tryna hit a milli
the block got heat
humid summers mississippi
Not as hot as me
i'm sippin' on Moscotto this life chose me
I'm just fine, you won't get my time
Not an hour, minute or second of mine
boring me with details of a monotonous life
Spared myself the fails of your strife
I was getting some bread
getting, getting some bread
A hustlers real ambition
is to be further ahead
You know I am the greatest cause you calling me the goat
them skills i'm advertising that is all I will promote
Got x-amount of style cause you saying he is dope
them haters got the asthma fillen lungs up with the smoke
Cause I'm so potent that I'll always have them choke
Cheers to me, myself and I, all have gathered for a toast
You been a fraud where in your masters surroundings
You're a circus act, a lost one doing a clown dance
I stay feeling myself cause I know I'm legit
I strive for excellence and live as I permit
And it's the only love to which I will commit
controversial known to rub you and the company you're with
Still can't understand it, how I'm making all this bread
I'm all about the benjamins, I'm all about my cash
A hustler on a mission tryna accomplish a task
I've seen more than what you've ever had
