Hope of the Paiute Wovoka legend
For renewal from ancient spirit people
Who would return with power of Eagle
Wings, and to all sufferings put an end.
A new religion of ghost dreams to fool
Those who never listen to history
And hunger to believe some mystery
That frees their soul from blame and ridicule.
But all they learned was you can't believe Jack!
With visions of overcoming others
As blind as you. Renaissance my brothers!
Never comes by secret or selfish act.
A dance in "ghost shirts" with Warlike fervor
Buried your heart at Wounded Knee forever!
