Ghost In The Mirror Poem by Juan Olivarez

Ghost In The Mirror

A ghost of a man stares back at me,
From the mirror on the wall.
So different from the man I used to see,
The long summer's turned to fall.

The auburn hair has turned to white,
The eyes are sadder now.
A long life now in it's twilight,
So many years gone, where and how?

But I won't complain, I never do,
I'm glad for what's come my way.
There's not a moment that I rue,
And I thank the lord for every day.
