Give Me A Box - Poem by sandra brown wright

GIVE ME A CARDBOARD BOX FOR MY THINGS YOU GAVE ME,
FOR THE HURT YOU CAUSED ME, AND FOR ALL THE MEMORIES
WE HAD TOGETHER,

GIVE ME A WOODEN BOX FOR MY SMILES, MY LAUGHTER, AND
MY HUMOR FOR I NEVER USE THEM ANYMORE,

GIVE ME A VELVET BOX FOR MY LOVE, MY DREAMS, AND MY
PASSION, FOR THEY ARE NEVERMORE,
GIVE ME A GLASS BOX FOR MY TEARS I CRY, MY LOST HOPES,
AND MY BROKEN HEART, FOR THEY ARE GONE FOREVER.
