Glass Coffins Poem by Patti Masterman

Glass Coffins

I was dying all day
I sent up flares
You couldn't see them from there

Caring makes me ill
Only the thoughtless can go on living
Seamlessly in their smiles

I won't keep pretending that it's alright
As I fall screaming
Into endless night.
