Globally Mirrored Poem by Ernestine Northover

Globally Mirrored

Rating: 4.8

Our earth is globally mirrored within small tear shaped droplets,
Something that is magical, yet real.
Swallowed so greedily by the dehydrated blue tits,
Quenching thirsts, from time primordial.

Watch the panoramas that are reflected in the raindrops,
Clear and sharp, they’re beautiful to see.
If we could just step inside one, and look over the treetops,
What a clean new land our world would be.

How can a huge vista be seen in one tiny spheroid,
A sight we can easily ignore.
But look anew and you will soon find, you are overjoyed,
With views, after every fresh downpour.

Such a lyrical poem Ernestine and transcendental too - I am reminded of Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass which I quote here from memory: 'To me the smallest leaf of grass can often touch places too deep for tears'. The wonder of life shines in a tiny snowflake or a billion universes. Your poem captures that truth with grace. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The whole word of God is a field—and Christ is the treasure which is hidden in that field! Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Then we will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. everything change on earth....we all hope that everyone sees and try to save this wonderful paradise god gave to us. beautiful write here Ernestine.... Love, and prayer Mary
