Glory Be To God Poem by Buxton Shippy

Glory Be To God

I have seen mountains
Clasped at their peaks,
Perpetually, through the seasons,
And winged creatures, in flock,
Riding on the winds.
Are they praising you Father?
Are they loving you Son?
I have seen cows bowed down,
In the fields,
And horses shaking their heads,
To the tune of the humming birds.
Do they you Father?
Do they know you Son?
Do they know you Holy Spirit?
Hail! hail! Mighty One.
Hail! hail! Eternal One.
Hail! hail! Ancient Of Days.
Hail! hail! The Omnipotent.
Hail! hail! The Omniscient.
Hail! hail! The Omnipresent,
Everlasting Father.
HAIL!
