God And The Angels Also Need To Cry Poem by Sherri Vogel

God And The Angels Also Need To Cry

Rating: 5.0

The raindrops are teardrops falling from the sky
God and the Angels also need to cry.
They watch us like a movie if we were there we'd cry too
At this messed up world we live in God built for me and you.
All this hatred on our earth, there are killings everyday
Kidnapping, sexual predators on the internet today.
So many selfish people, wonder if some even have a heart
We all pray for peace and freedom in a world thats torn apart.
Soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan fight so we can all be free
While insurgents plant roadside bombs tear apart a family.
We are losing fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, daughters, sons, and friends
In a War against Terrorism that goes on but never ends.
Many children now will grow up without a mom or dad
Who died for our freedom God our world is sad.
There are killers in our prisons who went on a shooting spree
Killing innocent bystanders don't all these people see
How many people that they hurt do they have a conscience or feel guilt
God must be angry and very disappointed of this earth that he once built.
People are dying of hunger each and every day
Because they lost a job that closed and moved away.
It relocated to India or another country near or far
Many countries hate USA and look it here we are.
Sending confidential information by computers overseas
To get by with cheaper labor and this is safe....oh please.
I wonder how much longer our free world will exist
Until someone hits a button who simply can't resist.
Seeing what will happen if a nuclear bomb is dropped
I wish all this craziness in our world could somehow just be stopped.
The rapes, the crimes, the violence, the drugs, it's such a shame
Life is reality, we're not here playing a game.
Its no wonder why the raindrops are teardrops falling from the sky
Just like people here on earth
'God and the Angels also need to Cry.'

This is the first time I've ever heard about something called thirty minutes of silence in heaven. I like to research everything though. This will be the next topic I plan on searching on the net. Thank you for bringing something new to my attention. I love learning new things. Thank you for the compliment and for reading my poem.

Have you heard of the thirty minutes of silence in heaven? My understanding is that it has not happened yet, and with all the horror that is on this earth, what could be so much worse to create a silence in heaven? This is a well penned, and heartfelt piece. Well done.
