God Called You Home Poem by Hope Franks

God Called You Home

Rating: 4.3

God called you home today
you are in a better placed now
your pain is gone
you left us as suddenly
as the seconds on a clock tick on
no one will ever be able to take your place
you were simply amazing
an amazing father, husband, friend, a faithful Christian soldier
a child of God
you were a man of integrity, wisdom, ad honor
you stood tall and proud
like an old oak tree blowing in the southern summer wind
while your life here on earth has sadly ended
your eternity in heaven has only just begun
you will suffer no more
you lived a good life
and we all grieve and mourn
for that we lost you
we all know you are finally here you belong
but you will always be missed by us all
God called you home today
your fight with this world is now over
and you have gone to rest in peace
with your lord and savior Jesus Christ
