Painful Silence Poem by Hope Franks

Painful Silence

Rating: 3.0

as I look at you I feel the warmth
of your arms wrapped around me
something does not feel right
there's an unfamiliar tension in the air
silently I cry without a tear to fall
I notice the love we once shared
the love that was so strong between us
isn't there anymore
it's then I sneak away from you as you sleep soundly
as I sit next to the window I feel my heart beat
my eyes are flooded with tears
once more... I cry
thinking to myself how could this had happened
everything was fine before we layed down
but now only emptiness is around
as my heart starts to drown from bleeding
for us, for what we once had
maybe I was stupid to think things could stay the same
It is clear I have changed to much
and you haven't changed enough

nicely painted a painful love....love is not always painful but so many times it full of pain, sorrow, tears, etc. but it teaches us so many things.......a pain less heart can never understand the feelings of others.... So such pain is good..... a lot of thanks to share you painful silence...10++

sad to say I have been there.. it gets better though with time and a lot of courage..I like the honesty of it
