God Can You Hear Me? Poem by Danielle Fraser

God Can You Hear Me?

Walk with me down life's road
Sometimes having feelings of despair.
Not sure whom, I may turn to,
Wondering if Heavenly Father is really there.

Born of foreordination...
We were saved for this day
He knows of each situation
And ever would that we pray

The loss of a loved one causes pain,
Missing one, so close, and dear.
Praying for help to get me through,
Not realizing help is always near.

The healing power of the atonement,
Helps play a very important part.
Receiving strength and courage needed,
Soothing feelings of love, felt in the heart.

One may say 'God, can you hear me,
Heavenly Father, Are you really there? '
Can you please send comfort and peace?
Relieving heavy burdens, hard to bear.

Seeing only one set of foot prints,
Deep impressions left in the sand.
From time to time another set appears,
The Savior taking me by the hand.

What is this special gift of love?
As only the Son of God, can give.
Helping us to return home again,
Back in Heavenly Father's presence, to live.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is, in my opinion, my best poem yet. I'm going through a tough time spiritually trying to figure out where I belong. I know the truth but being a teenager sometimes worldly feelings take over. Hope you like it.
