God Has Instructed Me 'Not' To Be The Judge Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

God Has Instructed Me 'Not' To Be The Judge

Before...
When I denied myself,
The right to be happy.
I was told that was being selfish.
And my life was to be lived,
Being of service to others.
And to do it to give.
And I did.

For years and years,
I gave to give.

Today?
With no more sacrificial tributes,
To display in charitable moments.
God reminded me my doing to give was done.
And with Him in conference,
He pointed out each one!
And confirmed it.

He knew I knew what to do to please.
And it was time to do that for myself!
AND 'if' anyone wants to see that as being selfish?
God has instructed me 'not' to be the judge!
