God In The Storm Poem by Hannah Jaeger

God In The Storm

Rating: 5.0

Droplets caressing my cheeks.
Slivering downward into wet streaks.
Blending with my own tears.
Feeling completely under arrears.
Witnessing the lightning in the sky.
Waiting patiently for God’s reply.
Crying, praying with arms open wide.
Past memories upon I do not bide.
Put through situations of such roughshod.
Screaming to see the power of God.
Lights in the sky; thunder in the air.
Praise, worship, repentance in prayer.
What kind of love allows such pain?
Sitting, freezing cold in the rain.
I have relied on me and see I need You.
My full trust in my Father is overdue.
With nothing, I come to see my fault.
From now on only my Lord I exalt.
The smallest fraction see God’s might.
They want no storm, just the sun light.
Within this storm I see God’s glory.
Through my suffering God wrote my story.
