God's Compassion Towards Us Poem by Gary James Smith

God's Compassion Towards Us

God's Compassion Towards Us

God's compassion towards us
Is the giving forth of the truth
Though we are born with a sin nature
For our freedom He undertook
It took just thirty three years of earth's living
To prove of His heavenly worth
Name another with a love such
as His
Another of a virgin born birth

Were there any miracles you could name!
That Jesus was guilty of doing
The blind...the deaf...and the lame were healed
His goodness led to His undoing
Then there was the forgiveness factor
One being the woman at the well
Then the other gal who was caught in adultery
Jesus forgave her as well

All throughout His ministry
He reached the heart of others
And those who felt an inborn need
He was sure to meet it brother
The woman with an issue of blood
Zacchaeus up in a tree
And who could forget about Lazarus
Making Martha and Mary again happy

Then in His final act of love
While yet He was still on the Cross
He led the thief to understand saving faith
So he too could be in paradise
What is your need today my friend
The Saviour can still see you through it
For there is no grave that could ever hold Him
Praise God He's alive to do it!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
