Going Posh (Fun Poem 123) Poem by David Harris

Going Posh (Fun Poem 123)

Everyone wants a bit of glamour in their lives
and I am not exception to the rule,
so when it came to going to the airport
for my holidays I went posh and in style.
Just imagine having a white stretched limousine
come to your door to whisk you away to your flight.
You cannot get much posher than that.
I bet our neighbours thought we had won the lottery
when they saw us with our suitcases go out and get inside,
then away to Heathrow just to start our holidays.
However, the customs were not so gracious
with their queues we had to go through.
So much for the celebrity status,
that disappeared as we got out of the limo and went inside.
