Going To The Gym Poem by Randy McClave

Going To The Gym

Rating: 4.5

Some people don't do this or even do that
So, they just sit around and get fat,
They don't ever exercise for the pain
Instead they just eat, and eat, and complain.
Many just want to eat and drink and smoke
Until they have a heart attack, or they choke
And the only time that they can show a 6-pack
Is when they grab beer from a grocery store rack.
Instead of them having trimmed ankles
They instead show off their swollen cankles,
And instead of them being firm and in shape
They hold up their sags, with clothes and tape.
They don't wanna run or lift or hit the bags
So, their arms and their stomach sags,
Mittts they don't want to dodge or even hit
So, they don't ever want to stay fit.
They don't want to ever exercise
So, instead they make up stories, and they tell lies,
Many want a better looking body indeed
But, to train, those words they do not want to heed.
Some people truly want to impress
Especially when they undress,
So, if you want to impress her or even him
First, go to the gym.
