Gone Poem by Lincoln Thames

Gone

Try everything yet she doesn't see it.
Give my time for no good reason.
Loved her for free but it's not enough.
Gave her chances and she hits them with stones.
Went miles and miles to be with her, and it turned out great.
Came home and found out it was a mistake.
Call her every night but she falls asleep.
Text her every morning for fear of her leaving.
Tried to let go but it breaks my heart.
Nailed to the wall with no chance of escaping.
Pain is becoming second nature, let it come for I am a creature.
Skin is hard, made of stone.
Eyes are frozen with no soul.
Still as night, with no purpose.
I am hers for the hurting.
Taking vengence is no option.
Wrapped around her fingers with keys out of reach.
Food no longer feeds my hunger, I am me no longer.
Fight as I might, I am losing this battle.
She will win because my heart is not in my body.
I gave my love far to easy, stay away or you'll be free for the ceasing.
Take your time, love is slow.
Or be caught like me and lose your sanity.
Fight as I might, I still love her completely.
Give me strength so that I may defeat thee.
Time turns slowly and days go by.
I'll be hers into the night.
Count the days with no reason.
Monday...
Tuesday...
Wednesday...
Thursday...
Friday...
Saturday...
Sunday...
Years go by with no change.
2009
2010
2011
2012
2013
2014
And...I'm still hers forever...
