Gone Again Poem by Becky Hyland

Another day has passed
And he is gone again
This never lasts
I might as well throw it in

With all the things
And all the lives
That i keep losing
I'm running out of time

They say to wait
That he will be back again
I stand at the gate
Hoping that they'll win

I look at him
And he doesn't see
All the pain
That he is causing me

I try to smile
I try to lie
But all the while
I'm hoping he doesn't die

I want to scream
I want to shout
But the words fail me
And they won't come out

So i will stand
By his side
And wonder when
There will be no more good byes.
