Good Luck To The 4 Judges Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Good Luck To The 4 Judges

Rating: 5.0

To believe in justice
to believe in being bold
is the only way to uphold prudence;
whatever the inclination
whatever the indication
only the bold dare to convey the message
which the ears of law must listen.
Unmindful of what consequences
they might have to endure,
they are the seekers of impartiality,
they select themselves to be
the managers of vigilance.
Our constitution is nothing if in silence we sit
and let the unseen reality prolong its prevalence
before those cladded eyes of the lady
who stands balancing equally those
weighing scales of justice.
But when these voices have chosen
to speak aloud with confidence,
not only their gray hair
confirm their credentials
but truly beautiful are these minds
who venture to highlight
the catapulting of inequity.
For justice is not only about punishments
but justice is also about preventions,
justice is not only about violations by citizens
but justice is also about uprooting dissensions.
